Metal Ritual and Religious Crafts are one of the major handicrafts of nepal are produced totally
by hand and handmade with the trasitional technology like hand hammering and hand casting such as
traditional metal wares, metal utilities,water jars & pots, auspicious caraved box, crafted boxes, ritual copper and brass wares, metal
hand carvings, wine jars, ritual artifacts, religious vessels, worship vase, and other metal commodities and more.. These type of art work require
high level of accuracy and planning and technique from the skillful craftsmen and artisans.
The art and skill is transferred hereditary and artisans follow the age-old designs and
production technology from generation to generation preserving actual artwork but not by
teaching but by doing by learning and gainging expertise. Most foreigners are very much
attracted with the production techniques nepalese artisans adopted as it is complelely hand laboured.
